In the end Rodrick is so happy and even though Greg thinks it's " corny" to end the book with a happy ending Rodrick and Greg get along and are actually good friends in the end. be in the talent show with Rowley doing the " Remarkable Rowley magic act" mom agrees. Since Rodrick and Greg proved they can't be trusted Susan and Frank for there next outing leave Rodrick and Greg with grandpa and Rodrick reads his diary and runs off with it Greg gets up in his underwear and chases Rodrick around the building and he sees Holly Hills!!! Greg finally gets the diary and runs into the girls washroom by accident and Rodrick has it all on tape!!! After grandpa's they go home and a couple days later even though Rodrick was banned to perform at the talent show with Loded Diaper he has to sit and watch his own band perform without him! I think this book is for 4th to 8th grades because it’s a little hard to read, but if you’re a 3 grader and you read well you can read it.

There’s a movie too but the book is better because they change some stuff in the movie. If I were a character in this book, I would be Manny because he is funny and gets whatever he wants and when he does something bad he doesn’t get in trouble. I like it also because I like funny and interesting things. This book is really cool because it made me laugh on many pages.
The thing that makes it interesting is the characters because the main characters do funny stuff like once Rodrick forgot to pick up Greg from swimming classes. One time in the book Greg’s little brother Manny stuck a cookie in Greg’s game system. In the book Greg is in seventh grade and there’s a new girl named Molly Hills and Greg likes her.
